Dennis & Amanda Timmons 67 Malibu

You may have met Chevelle Club members Dennis and Amanda Timmons at stop number 2 at Run Through the Canyon XII. You certainly couldn't miss their car, a bright red 1967 Chevelle Malibu. Dennis has done a ton of work on this beauty.
"I bought the car from my great aunt in 1992, for $1500", said Dennis. it was original gold on gold 327 bench seat Powerglide car. I have done almost all the work myself including building the engine and painting. It's certainly gone through a few changes though.

.

"The Malibu now has a .30 over 454 with a Comp Cams hydraulic roller valve train with ported iron oval port heads and oversized valves. The transmission was swapped out for a 700r4 with a ten inch, 3000 stall lock up converter, all feeding into a 12 bolt rear end running a 3.90:1 posi on an Eaton carrier with Strange axles", Dennis told us.
"It has had a few other motors like a 350 but they never had enough power for me", Dennis said. "I like to be heard."

You can believe that one. Just click on the video to the left and see what we mean.

Dennis' Malibu is a bit of a sleeper. To look at it in the parking lot you'd think it's just another pretty face in the crowd, but don't be fooled. This is truly a Muscle Car. You can tell as soon as it starts up.
All the machine work was done by Dave's Engine Machine. The transmission was work was done by Bowtie Overdrive, and rear end by Enterprise Motorsports with the differentials and everything installed by Dennis.

To stop the beast Dennis installed four wheel disc brakes and, of course the car has a console with bucket seats"
Notice the original 327 cross flags on the fenders, but Dennis has replaced the numbers with a "454". Nice touch Dennis!
