Jason and Michelle Yaeger’s 1970 SS El Camino

Jason is the proud owner this beautiful 1970 SS 396 El Camino. He says he grew up with his Dad driving a very fast 1968 SS El Camino and so you have it: "Like Father, Like Son".

He was looking in all the car sales magazines and finally found his Elky in, of all places, Turlock. Jason says he and his wife did a weekend trip to Disneyland, and just happened to stop in Turlock on the way back home. WOW, how did you convince Michelle to spend part of her weekend in Turlock?

The owner fired-up the 396 big block and that is all it took for Jason to buy it on the spot. Jason has done a couple of things to improve his purchase: .030 over rebuild, .515 lift and 292 duration cam, forged TRW pistons, ported heads, and stainless steel valves.

And there is more: Edelbrock intake and carb and a Richmond Super T-10 tranny and rebuilt front and rear-end suspension.

The interior has also been refurbished and now this El Camino is ready for prime time.

As you can see, this is one fine SS. Do you have a similar story? We would like to feature your Nor-Cal car just like we have featured Jason's.

Here are a couple of pictures of Dad's El Camino. By the way, the kid pulling the Radio Flyer is Jason.
