Sonny DiMeo’s 68 SS in Matador Red
Sonny DiMeo's 68 SS in Matador Red was purchased in 2011 from a collector in Ohio.

The worksheet was located behind the back seat springs and trunk panel, so Sonny found that the SS was born with an M-21 4-speed Muncie, 3:55 rear end, optional red interior, bucket seats and the black vinyl top.
It has since been upgraded to a new 4:10 rear end and under the hood: aggressive Comp Cam, Hooker headers, Weiand valve covers, 650 cfm Edelbrock carburetor, aluminum intake manifold and electronic ignition upgrade.

The most incredible feature on his gauge cluster: the one-year-only Roller Tach!!
Sonny also tells us that this car was an A/C, Power Brakes and Power steering delete car. This means that the buyer was trying to save weight for the drag strip.
